[MOOC] First Steps into Learning and Teaching in Higher Education

Consider this YOUR invitation to participate in the First Steps into Learning and Teaching in Higher Education massive open online course (MOOC) 23 May – 23 June, 2012. BCcampus (SCoPE) is pleased to be involved in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University by hosting and supporting the real-time course activities, consulting on MOOC best practices in a Moodle environment, and generally helping to spread the word.

First Steps into Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, is targeted at new lecturers, people entering higher education teaching from other sectors and postgraduate students who teach. We also welcome experienced lecturers to update and share their knowledge and expertise.

As you can see, this course is for everyone who is involved in teaching. And if you haven’t experienced a MOOC, this one comes highly recommended because it is designed and facilitated by a team of brilliant educators who have invested time and energy into researching and formulating effective practices for planning and facilitating these courses.
