Open Textbooks
As part of this year’s theme of “opening education” BCcampus is working with partner institutions to pilot a number of open textbook projects. These include an initial pilot of 5 open textbooks being developed by the Northern ICT Collaborative Program, a number of workshops on adopting open textbooks and authoring open texts that will be offered throughout the year, as well as a number of other pilots to be announced in the coming months. Watch this space for news and resources about this interesting area that promises to save learners money and help instructors get better control of revision cycles and content suitability.
