This book is designed to replace all introductory textbook(s) or instructor’s notes for the fluid mechanics in undergraduate classes for engineering/science students but also for technical peoples. It is hoped that the book could be used as a reference book for people who have at least some basics knowledge of science areas such as calculus, physics, etc.

Q: The text covers all areas and ideas of the subject appropriately and provides an effective index and/or glossary

My first comment will be regarding the title: I would not call it basis Fluid mechanics due to possible misleading.
This book is a great source for any Graduate student but only Graduate student. Any other student wishing to learn more about Fluid Mechanics or to use it as a text book will not be satisfied with this book

Presented material is on a very high academic level, PhD level and for that matter is accurate

Q: Content is up-to-date, but not in a way that will quickly make the text obsolete within a short period of time. The text is written and/or arranged in such a way that necessary updates will be relatively easy and straightforward to implement

Material in the book is theoretically well presented, and it has a good connection with real problems. It empowers students with knowledge to apply for any problem. However students should have great background in Basic fluid mechanics as well as in Mathematics.

This book is for Graduate students and with that being said it is great but it cannot be used by novice students

Q: The text is internally consistent in terms of terminology and framework

It is about 700 pages and I think that is too much, it should be broken in the smaller contents

Q: The text is easily and readily divisible into smaller reading sections that can be assigned at different points within the course (i.e., enormous blocks of text without subheadings should be avoided). The text should not be overly self-referential, and should be easily reorganized and realigned with various subunits of a course without presenting much disruption to the reader.

The material asked for the high level of fluid mechanics knowledge as well as high level of Math knowledge
