Our library of open textbooks is expanding on a regular basis as new publications in a variety of subject areas are added. If you are looking for an open textbook for your subject area, please check the B.C. Open Collection.
The B.C. Open Education Librarians (BCOEL) has developed an excellent rubric to help you choose an open textbook for your course, or you can try the following:
- Connect with your library
- Ask your colleagues what OER they use
- Conduct an advanced Google search
- Have your students find open resources, do a content review, and post the results to your course website or learning management system (LMS)
